My husband and I waffled the decision to travel to Las Vegas mainly for the U2 concert at the Sphere Las Vegas? Could the Sphere experience be that good and that worth it to travel so far? The answer on all accounts is YES Absolutely!
After seeing an Instagram post from CNBC contributor Josh Brown encouraging his friends to “Get on a plane and thank me later” Instagram post and pics of his experience at the U2 concert just pushed us over the edge to make the trip happen.
We definitely got the YOLO attitude, found some cheap flights to Las Vegas and away we went! Because, after all, you only live once—so why not seize the moment and make this once-in-a-lifetime experience an epic reality?

how to get there & where to stay
Our Vegas Concert adventure focused on a 3-day venture with the main focus on the U2 Concert at the Sphere Las Vegas.
We found a cheap direct flight on Breeze Airways from Fort Myers, Florida. We took Spirit Airlines back to Detroit. We got lucky and found some great prices on the flights!
In reference to booking flights, I always use Kayak for comparing flights, car rentals and accommodations. I love how it compares prices across all major airlines, hotels and car rentals. It always seems to give solid results. A rule of thumb, I like to use Kayak as a reference site and then I make the booking on the site directly.
The Sphere Las Vegas is located just behind the Venetian Hotel Las Vegas. For the closest proximity to the Sphere Las Vegas your going to want to stay at the Venetian, Palazzo, or the Wynn Las Vegas.
Insider Tip: It is worth noting that there is a bridge that connects from the Sphere Las Vegas to the Wynn Hotel which is nice for its guests because you will be able to avoid a ton of walking and crowds after the concert ends by using the cross bridge directly connected to the Sphere.
There is also an amazing photo opportunity of the Sphere from the Wynn hotel side of the bridge that links to the Sphere Las Vegas.
where to eat
There are so many options to eat in Las Vegas! For the sake of the article I am only going to discuss some great food options close to the Sphere Las Vegas. Here are some great grub options located near the Sphere Las Vegas for a pre-show dinner:
- A French bistro-style restaurant offering a menu inspired by Chef Thomas Keller’s memories of his childhood in France.
- Latin-inspired cuisine created by Chef Lorena Garcia, featuring a vibrant and eclectic menu.
- Owned by “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro, this Italian-American restaurant serves hearty dishes and delicious desserts.
Yardbird Southern Table & Bar:
- Known for its Southern comfort food, Yardbird offers dishes like fried chicken and shrimp ‘n’ grits.
- A unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian flavors, SUSHISAMBA offers a diverse menu with sushi, sashimi, and creative fusion dishes.
- Serving Mexican cuisine with a modern twist, Cañonita offers a lively atmosphere and a canal-side patio.
- A popular choice for pizza lovers, Grimaldi’s is known for its coal-fired brick oven pizzas.

Seeing U2 in concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas and celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the Achtung Baby album, was definitely a great reason to take a trip out to Las Vegas!
As the band takes the stage, the Sphere’s state-of-the-art audiovisual system engulfs the audience in a mesmerizing display of sound and light, delivering a sensory journey like no other.

The Sphere Las Vegas boasts seating for 17,500 people inside an orb shaped dome.
Experience U2 at the Sphere in Las Vegas was nothing short of extraordinary. Your eyes will be dancing all over! There is so much to look at visually and then there is the sounds, and the lights, and the video. Incredible!
It sure is an event like no other of its kind and likely the future of concert-going!
The unparalleled combination of the band’s iconic music and the cutting-edge technology of the Sphere creates an immersive spectacle that transcends the traditional concert experience.
U2’s powerful performances are elevated by the innovative design of the venue, ensuring that every note, lyric, and visual element resonates with profound impact. The sound was incredible and for some reason its a large venue but the feel is very intimate.
Playing one hit after another, Bono and the band was rocking it out and the entire audience was singing their hearts out.
Kicking it off with Zoo Station, and then one hit after another: Even Better Than The Real Thing, Mysterious Ways, One, Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World, With or Without You, Beautiful Day and so many more!

A great way to come down from that high of the concert, is to spend a few hours at the spa! I decided to visit the Spa at the Wynn for a treatment and to enjoy the facilities for the morning.
The Spa at Wynn in Las Vegas offers a luxurious and comprehensive range of spa services and wellness experiences. The spa was re-done in 2019 and is very warm and inviting. They offer exclusive amenities such as a relaxation lounge, eucalyptus steam, plunge pool, hot tubs, snacks, tea, fruit-infused waters and more. If you book a treatment you can use the spa for the entire day of the treatment. What a treat!
You will be given a tour of the facilities a locker, robe and sandals for your stay at the spa. I was really happy about the sandals because I didn’t pack any.
I loved my treatment which was a 50 minute massage.
I enjoyed the amenities and snacks after my treatment.
I really enjoyed this spa, because it wasn’t as big as some of the other ones on the strip. It was quaint, tastefully decorated, clean and the staff was very warm and inviting. I would give this spa experience a 5-star all the way.
Next to the Health Spa there is a place called the Clean Market Drips IV Lounge. The newest addition to the lineup of wellness-focused, luxurious guest experiences. Clean Market provides IV drips for therapeutic and rejuvenating benefits with a full menu of signature Wellness and Recovery IV drips.
I have to say that I was totally intrigued by this concept and spoke to a lady who had just had a treatment. She said that the Glutathione drip was amazing and that she felt so great afterwards. Further to that she said she gets this treatment frequently as it has been wonderful for her overall health and hadn’t been sick once since she started with this. So many health benefits to using Glutathione makes me want to try it!
For the adventurer at heart, you may want to partake in a hike not too far off the strip! Love Hikes offers a 4-4.5 hours round trip hike in the Valley of Fire State Park.
Their hikes are all about having fun and experiencing the great outdoors. Petroglyphs and dramatic rock formations await you as you hike through the wilderness.
You should expect traditional hiking, soft sand, and uneven surfaces. Athletic, cross training or hiking footwear or is recommended. They do offer more challenging hikes if that is something you were interested in doing.
