This recipe originates from my grandmother. She use to make this for all of her grandkids. She loved piling it high with bananas and I don’t think she put strawberries on top but lots and lots of bananas. She originally found the recipe from Weight Watchers, but then she made it not so calorie friendly. Lol

A Healthier Version

There are two ways to make this recipe. The original way to make this dessert is by using Rice Krispies boxed cereal. For a healthier more low fat version you can use Gluten Free Crispy Rice. For the pudding, you could use low fat milk or non fat milk for a calorie-wise version. I personally liked using the Gluten Free Crispy Rice Cereal more than the Rice Krispie Cereal because the cereal is much puffier than Rice Krispies and it also held together better!

Ingredients:

Here are the ingredients needed to make this Rice Krispie Treat:

  • 4 cups Crispy Rice or Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 pkg. Vanilla pudding
  • 3 cups milk
