I have been making this recipe since my children were young! It has always been a hit in our house! You can use any type of fruit jam for the filling if raspberry isn’t your first choice!

Raspberry Almond Bars
These Delicious and Easy Raspberry Almond Bars are so simple to make and very satisfying!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 cups All Purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 large Egg yolk
- 3/4 cup Sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup Raspberry jam, or jam of your choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8 inch square baking dish. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder.In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugars on high speed until light and fluffy; beat in egg yolk.Reduce speed to low, and gradually add the flour. Stir in almonds.In a small bowl, loosen the jam using a whisk. Gently press half of the dough into the bottom of the baking dish. Spread the jam over the dough. Leave a 1/4 inch around the sides as the jam spreads when cooking. Sprinkle the remaining dough over top to create a topping; press gently. Bake until the top is golden, approximately 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars and serve!
