Taco Salad Bowl Recipe

These super simple and healthy edible salad bowls are so delicious! I make these for my family at least once a week! I love to make a salad with taco meat, or grilled chicken on top to make it a full dinner. You will be surprised at how full everyone is after eating this delicious salad!

How To Make the Salad Bowl:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°

Step 2: Give the pita a quick spray of oil on both sides of the pita

Step 3: Get Creative! Grab a piece of tin foil and mould it into a slightly large ball.

Step 4: Grab your pita and shape it around the tin foil ball that you made. Don’t worry about it being perfect, after all it is homemade and should look it!

Step 5: Bake for 7-8 minutes. The pita should be slight golden and a little toasted.

Step 5: Flip the pita upwards and remove the tin foil. Continue to bake for 3 more minutes.

Step 6: Cool. You can keep the pita in ziploc bags for up to 3 days! They store very well!

Step 7: Have fun and Make your salad!!

Ideas for the Salad:

Our most favourite salad in our house is the BBQ Chicken Salad topped with my Homemade Ranch Dressing. It is honestly so delicious. I use Romaine, head lettuce, black beans, corn, green onion, tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese and topped with grilled chicken! WOW! Healthy and so delicious!

Here are some other ideas for salads! When I make a salad I love to get as much healthy goodness in that bowl as possible. I really love to mix greens, add beans, nuts and seeds, fresh sliced fruit, cheese and tons of vegetables! You can get a whole healthy meal in that bowl so get creative!
