Tandoori chicken is a classic Indian dish that is known for its succulent, smoky flavour and beautiful reddish-orange colour.Ā 

To make this mouth-watering dish, marinate chicken in a mixture of yogurt, spices, and lemon juice for at least a few hours or overnight. Traditionally it is then cooked in a tandoor oven, which is used in Indian cuisine. If you don’t have a tandoor oven, you can also cook the chicken in a regular oven or on a grill.

The result is tender, juicy chicken with a crispy exterior that is bursting with flavour. Serve it with basmati rice, a mint raita sauce and naan bread for a truly authentic Indian meal that is sure to impress.

  • Chopped cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, tandoori spice blend, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Mix well to combine.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
