Garlic Ginger Ground Pork Stir-Fry

Ingredients
  

  • For the stir fry:
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 apple peeled and diced
  • 1 cup water
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • For the Sauce:
  • Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 fresh orange squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Fresh parsley
  • Fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, orange juice, garlic ginger, green onions, honey, red pepper flakes, and olive oil. Add in Fresh herbs such as chopped basil, and parsley.
  • Add the ground pork to a mixing bowl and season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, cinnamon, salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a potato masher, until browned and cooked through.
  • Once browned drain and clean the skillet. Place the meat back into the frying pan.
  • Add the onions, apples, red peppers and water. Saute until the water evaporates approximately 7 minutes
  • Pour the Asian sauce mixture into the skillet and stir to coat the pork and vegetables evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce, has thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the ground pork stir-fry over a bed of cooked rice drizzle chilli garlic sauce over everything and enjoy!
